Redbox Hardware
RedBox Hardware is operated by a successful hardware retail outlet located on the Australian Eastern Seaboard. Realising that there was no reliable, fully stocked online hardware store in Australia for customers in remote areas, or with little time on their hands, the owners commissioned Reading Room to brand, design and build a unique online shop for all hardware and gardening needs Reading Room engaged with RedBox to design and build a new online shopping website. Starting from only the name and concept of the online store, we developed a complete online brand identity. Having more than 3,000 products available for purchase presented a challenge in that it places high demand on navigation and search. The site automatically suggests related products, providing a 360 degree shopping experience.

Go Matilda
Reading Room were given the task of developing an online resource for individuals and businesses wanting to move to Australia. The aim of the site was to generate a large amount of business, allowing Alan Collett to reduce costs of advertising and to reach a wider international audience. To fulfill this requirement, Reading Room built the site to be highly visible to search engines with prime meta data. Numerous links to other companies were also included and the custom built content management system allowed regular news letter to be sent automatically to registered users. To give Go Matilda an edge over competitors, an interactive feature was created. A Cost of Living calculator enabled users to compare the value of the dollar or foreign currencies in different states of Australia. Since its launch in July 2001, Go Matilda has had a tremendous amount of traffic generated by the sites visibility to search engines. To date there have been up to 80 thousand hits with increasing numbers each month.

Dural Irrigation
Dural Irrigation run a very successful bricks and mortar store in Sydney's north west which has been supplemented by the development of a website carrying their full range of irrigation products for sale to both retail and trade customers. The site was built originally as an information site with a shopping cart on the side, but the online store proved so popular that in 2007 we repurposed the site to become a shopping cart with some information on the side. With the increase in cutomer numbers has also come an increase in the complexity of the costing matrix of the site - it deals with retail and wholesale prices as well as an extensive series of different levels of discount. Dural Irrigation's site never stands still. Reading Room is always implementing new ideas, for instance, this year we have rebranded the site and introduced special deals on freight to take advantage of TV ads that are being broadcast in country areas.

Hoses Direct
Hoses Direct approached Reading Room having observed our success in delivering usable and functional e-commerce websites, asking us to design and build a website and online store that would showcase there catalogue of over 10,000 products The online store had to allow for these products to be categorized and managed through the content management system. Reading Room delivered a design which ensured the user focus is taken to the online store and that they are quickly able to access the products. Login feature allows for the different discounting schedules across both the product categories and the user groups.
