UNHCR Emergency Response wins Stevie at the International Business Awards
20/07/2010 - Canberra
We are delighted to announce that Reading Room has been awarded a globally recognised Stevie Award at the 2010 International Business Awards for the UNHCR Emergency Response project in the Non-Profit organisation category. Our UK team also received recognition in the Interface Design category for the Wellcome Collection project.
The International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business awards program honouring great performances in business. Recipients of International Stevie Award trophies were selected from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 40 countries.
Margaret Manning, Reading Room CEO, said: "Naturally, we're delighted to win not one, but two of these highly prestigious awards - especially as this is the second year running that we've been successful. At the 2009 IBAs, we won in the Interface Design category for our stunning work for WWF UK, so to go and better that by adding two more coveted Stevie’s to our name is a credit to the brilliant achievements of our teams in the UK and Australia".
UNHCR’s goal was to create a profound emotional connection between donors and those in need. Reading Room has achieved this by creating a design which compels the user to explore further, enriching their experience and deepening the bond between donor and recipient. The results not only showed a significant number of one-off donations but also a higher number of pledges of regular donations, beautifully demonstrating this bond.
The Stevies launched in 2002 to honour and generate public recognition for the achievements of companies and business people worldwide. We’re looking forward to receiving our trophy!
