QGC and InvoCare Green Endings win Best In Class at IMA Awards
We’re pleased to announce that the Queensland Gas Company and InvoCare “Green Endings” websites have both been awarded “Best In Class” Awards at the Interactive Media Awards (IMAs).
Held annually, the IMAs are international awards designed to elevate the standards of excellence on the internet, by recognising organisations and individuals for their outstanding achievements.
On receiving the awards, Reading Room Australia CEO, Sarah Vick, was honoured to be recognised for excellence in website design and development.
“The Interactive Media Awards are a highly sought-after prize, and this nod from IMA is a demonstration of our ability to generate world-class work and capitalize on our close working relationships with our clients,” Sarah said.
Queensland Gas Company
Queensland Gas Company (QGC) is a leading coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on establishing the world's first project to convert coal seam gas into liquefied natural gas. QGC needed a new website to meet the needs of a growing business, and to help inform the public on the latest energy technologies and the benefits that natural gas provides.
Reading Room worked with QGC to develop a site with a striking design, providing an engaging and informative forum in which to promote their services and accurate information about the challenges and innovations in the energy industry today.
The Green Endings website is an initiative from InvoCare offering the first entirely green and sustainable funeral service offering in Australia.
Featuring an elegant and simple design the website aims to provide credible, up-to-date and insightful information to assist consumers and to raise awareness of the concept of environmentally conscious funerals. Another feature is its unique and interactive ‘carbon calculator’ enabling users to calculate the carbon footprint of a funeral service through its use of scientific data.
Judged on design, content, functionality, usability and standards compliance, the QGC site scored 489 in the “Energy” category and the Green Endings 487 in the “Green” category, both scores out of a possible 500 points. These two sites are among the handful of sites to receive a “Best In Class” Award out of hundreds of entries submitted to the IMAs.
