Gov 2.0 Workshop notes
23/10/2009 - Canberra
This week's CeBIT Gov 2.0 post-conference workshop was a huge hit thanks to an energetic audience and Margaret Manning, our CEO, who facilitated the workshop.
After a full day of presentations, attendees immersed themselves in the interactive workshop as Margaret demonstrated the best way to Get Buy In is to make SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, & Timebound) objectives clear to everyone, especially decision-makers.
There was a lot of discussion accompanying these slides, feel free to drop us a line if they're too cryptic.
We also had some fun links in both the presentation and the hand outs:
- The social media activity counter
- Is Social Networking Bad for You? How to Avoid Social Networking Groupthink
- Five ways to drive interest in your tweeting
- 7 Deadly Mistakes in Selling Social Media (and getting buy-in)
- Google Wave and social media convergence - Video demo
- British Prime Minister's E-Petitions site
- Obama and Twitter: White House Social-Networking
- Twenty Theses for Government 2.0, Cluetrain Style
And here's that Social Media Revolution video again:
To wrap things up, here are the forms used for setting your SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, & Timebound) objectives and planning their implementation:
